Plaid, Coral and Kids

Happy Friday! Here are three things that I've been loving this week,

1. My New Plaid Shirt
It does seem conceited that one of my weekly obsessions is my new shirt, but I love it! I really like reaching for clothes that I would never try before and trying them on in a store. Don't get me wrong, I love plaid shirts but this colour combination I would have never reached for before. These colours look so girly which I love! It just suits my mood so well lately.
Shirt: Boa

2. Coral
I've always loved coral especially in the summer, but lately it's been on my mind 24/7. Lips and nail colours that I've leaning to lately are all coral. I'm pretty sure it's due to the fact that I'm craving sunshine like no tomorrow. Spring could not come faster!

3. Children with Swag
When I found this tumblr, I loved it! These have to be the cutest kids ever! It's worth a look if you want a daily dose of cuteness. http://childrenwithswag.tumblr.com/

Finally!

For the longest time I've been trying to figure out how to get rhinestones on my nails. Honestly, I tried researching it and looking at other nail blogs but to no avail. Finally I heard that the rhinestones being used are for jewelry design! Once you have the rhinestones all you do is put a layer of base coat on your nail (I used Witchcraft Nail Hardener), put the rhinestone on and then put top coat over (I used Essie's Good to Go). I honestly put the top coat on in giant blobs, it's better to be very generous with it. The first round that I did, I didn't lose a single one! The second time I did lose one but I was less liberal with the top coat that time. Definitely after this discovery I feel like my nails look a lot better :) Mystery Solved!

Nail Colours used: Essie's Chinchilly, OPI's Planks a lot.

I bought the rhinestones from Michaels for about seven dollars. Just make sure that the sizes you are buying can be used on your nail and aren't too big.

Challenge Accepted!

I have a problem with straightening with my hair, it's almost impulse to just do it every morning. I have naturally curly/wavy hair but I rarely embrace it (meaning it drives me bananas.) However, I bought a curling iron on a boxing day sale and made a vow that I would curl my hair mostly because I had been watching the New Girl and Zooey Deschanel gives me major hair envy. After chatting with my friend I decided I would go a week without straightening my hair. That's right, one whole week and I did it! But in true forgetful fashion, I didn't take photos everyday! Including the day that I DID use my curling iron. :( I got bored just letting my hair dry so I ended up doing a sock bun which is awesome, especially if you have thin hair it creates the illusion that you have more hair! It's super easy but takes a few tries, here's the video.
I won't lie though, it was awesome to straighten my hair again :)
