Review: OPI's "Glitzerland"

As promised here is another colour from the the Swiss collection launched in early fall. As you guys know already this is my favourite collection by OPI to date. This colour is beautiful soft gold with a subtle glitter. I think that this one is perfect for the holiday season! Yes, of course everyone will go for that rich red (I have one too so I'm guilty too) but gold is unexpected even though it's a traditional holiday colour. Love love love this! Again the quality of OPI is there and it only takes 2 coats to get a full colour. Definitely purchase this if you have a ton of parties to go!

One combo I really like is a rich red on your toes and this gold on your fingers, it looks marvelous!

Review: OPI's "Cuckoo for this colour"

Let me start off by saying that I am absolutely in love with this collection from OPI, this colour is from OPI's Swiss collection. There is a huge variety of colours in it, it fits the niche of fall/winter colours marvelously! Least to say this one is the only full bottle that I own from this collection, but I have the other ones in smaller forms so be prepared to see those later!
This picture doesn't do the polish justice, but "Cuckoo for this color" is dark forest green with a bit of shimmer to it with hints of blue. It looks black in the photo but you can always tell in person that the colour is green, trust me I hate black nail polish so I won't paint my nails anything close to black. The polish only needs about 2 coats, but I applied three in this picture. It dries smoothly so long as you don't touch it! It doesn't really chip which a quality that I find is universal with OPI colours, you're really paying for the quality and it shows. If you love green and you love the dark rich winter-y colour definitely pick this one up! Or any other of the Swiss collection! This one is definitely one of my favorites. Red Hot Blush

If you read my blog regularly or if you know me personally, you will know that I'm absolutely obessed with MAC! I love it! The worst thing for me now is that I am banned from purchasing any more makeup until Christmas, which is hard for me. Before the ban however, I was allowed to make one last purchase so I could get a glimpse of the new tartan collection from MAC (which is to die for btw).
In the winter one makeup product that I cannot live without is blush, besides the fact that I'm ghostly pale; I love the look of blush in the winter. I love how it adds to "I've been walking in the snow all day long, I'm so relieved to be indoors" image. So I bought "Frankly Scarlet" from the collection. It's hot red pink that has hues of blue in it. Don't let the blue hue throw you off, it's actually a new trend that I'm noticing more and more. Blue adds more depth to your skin tone and once you try it, it's hard to resist.
This blush looks really good as long as you don't cake it on, I usually wipe a bit on my hands first then sweep it gently on my apples to my temples (wind blown look) using a fluffy blush brush. It definitely took trial and error to get used to this one so just be aware. I would recommend this blush because it's a perfect hue for winter, the name is fun and the colour is absolutely lovely. :)

Pink Friday Lipstick

Nicki Minaj's new album "Pink Friday" debuted this week but something else super cool came out too! To celebrate MAC released a new lipstick called "Pink Friday" in honor of Nick Minaj. It's a really creamy pink, it looks like the signature colour that she always wears. Considering I love Nicki Minaj I just may go out and purchase the colour, but it looks like it would be super hard to pull off, so I'm hesitating a little bit. Another neat feature about this lipstick is that it's only available for four Fridays starting this Friday November 26! Get it, Pink Friday on Friday? I thought that was quite clever. Let me know what you think! Purchase worthy or pass?

Post-Hogwarts

After seeing the new Harry Potter this weekend, I can hardly think of anything else! When the first one came out (philosopher's stone) I never really thought much of Emma Watson, I was pulled more towards Luna Lovegood as an inspirational character but after seeing Deathly Hallows, I have to change my mind. I am totally in love with Emma Watson, I love her look! I was reading in an interview with her that uses fashion as a rebellion because from playing Hermoine Grainger she was never allowed to looked glamorous, but now she can. The first move was definitely chopping off all her hair!

When reading through various fashion sites, I found this article about Emma Watson debuting a Burberry trench that was made just for her, least to say it's to die for. I absolutely love this shot and wanted to share it with all you so we can mutually drool over it. Enjoy!
On another note, I love her poppy! I'm assuming it's the British version, not too sure why they look different then the ones here but I love it none the less!

End of Fall!

Yes, It's getting to the end of fall and I'm a little sad! I find so much inspiration in the fall, with the weather and the colours of the leaves, just everything around me! I do love winter as well, but fall has a lot more to offer, it's more rich and romantic.

I made this set because often times in the fall, I don't feel paricularly galmourous, so I wanted to change that! This outfit idea came to me because I'm dying for a white dress and I thought of how I would wear it, I absolutely love this outfit. Cranberry red and white are one of my favourite colour combinations. I love mixing up what's traditionally glamourous with a more rugged piece, like the dress which dainty, with a toque, I live for those pairings! I love the nail polish as well, I almost bought that one but found that it was simliar to OPI Ink (which I have), but now I'm thinking I may have to go purchase it so I can make this outfit on my own. It's Been far too long!

SORRY SORRY SORRY! Words cannot express how much I have missed this blog! But I have been so busy from getting back to normal from Ireland, to working everyday and being away every weekend I just haven't found anytime to write so I'm so sorry, I think that my writing will get back to normal once I head back to school which is in September so for now it's just going to odd times unfortunately.
Anyways a quick review!
When I was in Ireland I saw that they were giving away some Benefit eye pencils in magazines, and these magazines only cost 2 pounds! Now that's about 3 Canadian dollars which is still insane because these pencils are close to 30 dollars each. I got all three which include "eye bright", "bad gal black liner" and the "it stick". The first one that I'm going to review is the concealer stick called "It stick". At first I wasn't super keen on this as I'm in love with the concealer that I have. I tried it at first in combination with the concealer that I already own, and then I started using the It stick more then my liquid concealer. I think the perfect use for this is in your purse to touch up your foundation when need be, that's when it works best. When it's just on it's own I found it didn't make a world of difference but when in combination with other concealers it works wonders. Definitely get this if you can get a good deal on it, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it as a must-have
